Fall Beauty

As we were traveling to church this morning, I marveled at the amount of colors the leaves displayed. We often marvel at nature, but rarely thank God for it! I hope you will take a moment today to thank God for his beautiful creation.

I am sharing this card today. I usually make standard cards but experimented with a larger card and I love the results!!!

I hope you enjoy!

~Happy, Happy Birthday~

Today is our youngest sons 7th Birthday!!! He is very excited. He put in his order for his birthday cake. This year it couldn't be bought! He wanted a devil's food cake with cream cheese icing~made my me! Well, it is made and frosted.........and he decorated it! He didn't really have anything particular that he wanted for a present, so we're off to Toys R Us later! We may be in there hours while he decides what he would like......(The joys of being 7!) For his birthday meal he has chosen his favorite little BBQ restaurant. His favorite is the beans and rice.....Whew! We will celebrate with Grandma and Pop and cousins later this afternoon, a Putt-Putt party with friends tomorrow, and a birthday party at the BEACH with my parents, sister, and brother next week. So here's to our little one~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!~

~Thank you~

While traveling on vacation I was amazed at the countryside, cars zooming by, children playing, farmers working the fields, and most of all the beauty of our Earth. We were headed home and at two different churches there were signs that said: "Take time to say Thanks for all God's done for you." That seems like such a given, but it wasn't! I find myself praying to God and asking for guidance, peace, patience, etc...., but I sometimes fail to tell him Thank you! I am so blessed at what God has done for me, my husband, my children, our family, our profession, etc.... THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a peaceful and thankful day!

~We're Back!~

We had a fabulous and fun family weekend. The weather was great--not too hot!! The beach was not crowded and the boys loved the ocean. We are already counting down until Saturday. We are headed back to the beach for 8 days with my parents, my sister's family, and my brother and his wife!! We always have a wonderful time and get lots of sun. We will be staying in a large house that is located on a channel, which is great for fishing.

I am sharing a card today that I hope you will like!! I really love how the dimensional adhesives make it pop.

I also have some exciting news to share!! I will be taking a Stamp Club over in July! I am so excited to meet this group of ladies and share my passion for paper crafting and Stampin Up with them!! I met with Kathleen this morning and just felt that this group is a perfect match for me.... Ladies if you're reading this, send me a holler!!!!

Until tomorrow,

~Words to Live By~

Can you believe it's Friday? This week has flown by and we are officially on Summer Break. We are headed off soon for a trip to the pool. It is supposed to be 100 degrees today~~~ I took a small craft break created this card entitled, "Words to Love By." I love this scripture from Proverbs. It was the focus of our Sunday School lesson last week. I fell in love with the paper combinations, black twine and cross stamp. I inked all edges and added lots of stamping dimensionals which help the layers pop. More scripture cards to come. I probably will not be able to post again until Sunday evening. We have a busy weekend.

Blessings,
Leslie

Hooray~Last Day of School~

Today's the big day! Our boys were so excited this morning. It is officially the last day of school. They went off with teacher gifts in hands and smiles on their faces.

Are there days when you wish you could pick up the phone, type an email, or just let your spouse or kids know you love them? I do this so very often! Times or places where you know they can't be reached. Here's a card entitled, "Sending My Love." It goes out to my husband and boys! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I can't tell you or show you enough how much you mean to me.
Enjoy your day and stay cool!

Salute to Teachers

This post goes out to all the wonderful teachers out there!!!! As school is coming to a close here, I think about how grateful I am that our children had such great teachers this year.

We picked the "Heart of Gold" Willow Tree Angel to give to them and I made them this cute little card.

Take a minute to read the poem below. As you're reading, I am sure one of your teachers will come to mind.

The Best Teachers
Teachers open up young minds, showing them the wonders of the intellect and the miracle of being able to think for themselves. A teacher exercises the mental muscles of students, stretching and strengthening, so they can make challenging decisions, find their way in the world, and become independent. The best teachers care enough To gently push and prod students to do their best and fulfill their potential.
